One-on-One Spiritual Coaching
If you have begun a relationship with Jesus, we pray you will follow Him intentionally. We take seriously His directive to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)
One of the primary ways we help you grow as a disciple of Jesus is through a one-on-one discipleship relationship through a coach approach. A spiritual coach comes alongside you to help you be a genuine disciple of Christ. Their role is to help you continue to move along the path of following Jesus. Your coach will be on the journey with you. They will not be over you but will assume an attitude of humility. We are all learning to follow Jesus. Your coach is there to help. They won't have all the answers; the focus will be on you, not your coach. While you will be reading and studying the book, Learning to Follow Jesus (available for purchase at both the Mills and Oakmont campuses), the goal is not just completing the material. It is growing in the seven qualities of the follower of Jesus.

Follow Coaches help others learn to follow Jesus by discipling another person one-on-one through the Learning To Follow Jesus book. As a spiritual coach, you will come alongside another person to help them grow as an authentic disciple of Christ. You don’t have to have all the answers, and you will quickly recognize that you’ve not arrived. You’re simply on the journey with someone else to intentionally aid them in growing in the seven attributes of a follower of Jesus, as outlined in the book.
Requirements: You will receive training (through the Follow Coaching Toolkit provided) to equip you to feel comfortable, confident, and empowered to assist others in becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus. The training will prepare you to make disciples like Jesus did using a coach approach. The book Learning To Follow Jesus will be available ($15).
Using a coach approach, you will learn how to make disciples like Jesus did in six weekly gatherings. The next training will be scheduled soon.
